Welcome to the Instrumentation and Control Engineering Department.      

The Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering is established in the year 1993 with an intake of 60 seats. The department got accredited by National Board of Accreditation twice in year 2005 and 2013.

This is a multi-disciplinary branch of engineering deals with automation and control. This discipline of Engineering plays a vital role in any modern industry. Control and computing are becoming increasingly important in automating industrial processes. This has created a strong demand for trained instrumentation professionals. This is one of most preferred disciplines in the well known universities in India and aboard. As our provincial industrial sector grows, instrumentation and controls continues to be an extremely important field of technology.

Our department has state of art infrastructural facilities and well equipped laboratories like Process, Control Systems, Sensors and Transducers, Electronics Design, Embedded Systems and Software Laboratories. A team of well qualified and highly experienced faculty with experience in research in allied domains taking efforts for all round development of our students. We have active collaboration with Instron Technologies LLP, Pune. Under this joint venture we conduct regular courses in PLC, SCADA, HMI and Drives like important domains of Automation. The objective of this tie-up is to develop the competency of the students to meet challenges of technological advancements in the area of Industrial Automation and Control Engineering.

Involvement of faculty in research and development brings a unique combination in teaching-learning process. Department has a track record of excellent results every year. Invited talks and quality improvement program are routine activities of the department to provide exposure to the recent technologies used in practices. Department encourage the students for their participation in co-curricular and extracurricular activities. The implementation of outcome based education in the department enhanced the knowledge of staff and students to meet the challenges of new technological world and corporate sector so as to mold the budding graduates as successful professional engineers, researchers and entrepreneurs.
