Institutional Distinctiveness:

The institute's Corporate Relations & Placement Cell (CRPC) is an integral feature. In order to increase the employability of the students, the Cell works consistently and continuously to give them multiple possibilities to take part in the campus recruitment process. To ensure that the students are prepared for their careers and uphold the company's standards, several training programs are consistently implemented throughout the year. In addition to this the cell also works on diverse areas of improvement for students such as enhancing their technical abilities, personality development, communication and soft skills, resume building, etc. Various training and student development activities are conducted right from First Year of Engineering till they get placed in reputed organizations. Students who have shown interest in Higher Studies and Entrepreneurship, are guided through various Career Guidance sessions and Entrepreneurship Development programs.

A state of the art facility is available in the CRPC to conduct the campus recruitment process (Pre – Placement Talk, Aptitude / Programming Test, Group Discussion, Personnel Interviews). Many reputable industries visit the institute on a regular basis for campus recruitment, and we are glad to say that the majority of the prominent MNC's hire our students.
The Cell's major goal is to serve as a powerful bridge between various companies and bright, young graduates and postgraduates.

A variety of career opportunities in public, private, and multinational corporations have been addressed in career guidance talks for students. The cell also advises students on their options for professions in various fields after completing higher education. The interaction between the industry institute and the students helps the students by exposing them to crucial guidance from experts that keep them up to date with industry requirements.

An Academic Calendar, comprising of detailed plan of various CRPC activities (i.e. Career Guidance sessions, Technical trainings, Aptitude trainings, Soft Skills and Communication Skills Trainings, Alumni sessions, etc.) for every class from First Year to Final Year students; is prepared and implemented every year.

First Year students are informed about Training and placement activities during FE Induction program. FE students take part in competitions in association with various Industries like Barclays. Soft skill trainings are also provided to get insight into key areas to improve personality traits and communication abilities through in-house sessions.

Students in their second year of engineering trained for resume building and soft skills to strengthen their personal traits.

Students explored for Aptitude, Group Discussion and Personal Interview in Third year of Engineering through Training sessions. For placement readiness various activities are conducted such as technical sessions by Industry Personnel's, Career Guidance sessions, Entrepreneurship Development activities, Interaction with Alumni about Industry expectations and Participation in Technical Competitions.

Through a mock placement drive, final-year students provided training for corporate face-to-face and personal interviews. Placement cell invites various companies for Campus recruitment and provides opportunities to get placed in core and IT Industries during 7th and 8th semester of their degree program.

Placement Process
As per the requirement of the industry, fresher hiring begins every year from the month of July. Students are sensitized about the industry expectations during campus recruitment by Dean Placements, Training & Placement Officer and departmental faculty coordinators. Placement Policy is circulated to all the Third Year engineering students via creating Google Forms along with the Students Undertaking Forms. This data helps the Placement Cell to interest level of students wrt their career progression ie. Campus Recruitment / Higher studies / Entrepreneurship. The academic records of students are verified and updated in central database.
Companies are invited by sending e- mails/ connecting on phone calls for campus recruitment. As a routine procedure, the recruiters share the Job Description, Eligibility Criteria & Selection Process of their organization which is shared with students via email and WhatsApp messages for registration of students willing to participate in the recruitment process of the organization. This data of eligible and interested students is sent to the company HR for further process. Post sharing the data of students, the company shares the final date of recruitment process along with the process of recruitment Students are informed about the date of Campus Recruitment & selection process through Notices via E-Mail & WhatsApp Messages.
The company visits the campus for Campus Recruitment Process on the allotted date to conduct the selection procedure. Pre-placement talk is conducted at the beginning of any recruitment process and it is organized at auditorium as one of the central amenities of the institute. During pre-placement talk the students are made aware by the HR personnel about their requirements in detail so that students understand the job profile, requirement of industry and the do’s and don’ts to be followed during the selection process. Post successful completion of the recruitment process, the final list of selected students is announced by the company officials and the same is communicated to the Training & Placement Officer via email. The selection of candidates is posted on the Social Media handles.
In order to understand the performance of students, Employer’s feedback (via Google Sheets) is collected for necessary improvement. Employer’s feedback helps the department to understand the areas of improvements (if any). Student’s Feed Back is also collected from offered students to understand the recruitment process and skills required by the recruiter for the profile hired and this data is also shared with Heads of the Departments and faculty coordinators for necessary action for the next Academic Year.
